Water hose

We had another blooper, I would pull in the water hose without disconnecting the hose from the connection for a year. We needed to hook up a heated hose and couldn't break it loose so I ended up replacing the water connection entirely.
I'm going to use teflon tape and similar metal connections .

Anti seize would probably work better.

I'm not sure what the anti seize might taste like. Aluminum and brass ends didn't work out.

Good point. I came across this article that states, "silicone grease or dielectric grease is a waterproof grease that is used as a lubricant. it consists of silicone oil and silica thickener to create a robust consistency that’s ideal for greasing plumbing fixtures". It also states that this solution is commonly used for potable sources of water due to it having food-grade chemicals. This means it can be used for a wide array of plumbing fixtures and dental equipment without being dangerous to the average person. Also I'm thinking, the tape might tear as it's tightened. Also Also, they make a food grade anti seize lubricant.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just disconnect the hose every time, or use a quick connect? Curious where your connection is… in a wet bay?
