Solar charging question

I bought a cheap 25w solar charging system for the generator on the back of our OR. This is the third battery for it because I keep forgetting to run the generator, and the batteries keep dying. Entirely my fault.

My solar question is, how do I tell if there is a diode inline to prevent the battery from discharging at night. The system comes with a controller, but documentation is not a strong suit with these little systems.

So if it does not have one, do I place it in the Neg line or Pos? AND I always forget which direction on the marking shows power pass thru and which blocks it.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Nevermind, I found an info source for both. They say in the Pos line with the non marked end facing the power source, and the marked end towards the battery or load.
