Egg slicer for Strawberries

We were at a Farmers Market in California a couple weeks ago and I saw all these great looking ripe strawberries. Next to them was a strawberry slicer. I told my wife "that looks like a egg slicer". So when we got home and went grocery shopping and you guessed it, we bought strawberries. Just tried out our egg slicer on the strawberries and it it worked perfectly. I cut the green tops off and laid the strawberry face down with the pointed end straight up and "Shazam". perfectly slice strawberries.

Some one else told me they lay their toast on it's side put in 2 slices of break as usual but the slice on top they put a slice of cheese on it. Makes a great grill cheese : )

So someone was selling an egg slicer as a strawberry slicer? Was it priced higher than an egg slicer?

They were labeled as Strawberry slicers and were 3 times more than a egg slicer. I just didn't fall off the potato wagon : )
